New high-speed broadband Internet is coming to the Spencer Butte area!

The Spencer Butte area is one of 11 areas slated to receive access to “…affordable and reliable, high-speed internet access” through DFN (Douglas Fast Net),  between now and December 2026, according to LCOG (Lane Council of Governments).

New fiberoptic cable will primarily installed in our area and connected to homes. It will primarily be hung  (vs buried). The project will be completed by December 2026. It is not yet known when during that time the work will be done in our area.

Check the Rural Reach Web Map to see if an address is part of the project

Indicate your interest in possibly using this service, fill out the DFN Request Service Form. Submitting the form does not obligate you to anything.

The funds for the project were allocated to Oregon from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), administered through the Oregon Broadband Office. As of 4-2-25, LCOG has no information indicating this project will be impacted by federal funding cuts.
