COVID-19 Update

Attention

Lane County Public Health (LCPH) is not currently offering the COVID-19 monovalent vaccine in our facility. Please consider calling your pharmacy or primary care physician about the availability of this vaccine. LCPH will update the COVID page on vaccine access when more information is available.

CDC recommends the 2023–2024 updated COVID-19 vaccine for everyone 6 months and older.

Everyone 6 months and older should get 1 dose of the updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine to protect against serious illness from COVID-19. People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get additional doses of the updated COVID-19 vaccine.

For more information on what it means to be “up to date” with your COVID-19 vaccine series please visit the CDC website.

In Oregon, we have had a marked increase in people testing positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks, so remember:
1. Know Your Risk
2. Think about how you’ll protect yourself and others around you
3. Get tested if you have symptoms
4. If you test positive, contact your healthcare provider for treatment (some health care settings may require masking).

Isolation and Quarantine

If You Test Positive

It is not necessary for you to report your positive test result.

Isolation for General Population:

Most people infected with COVID-19 do not need to isolate for a set number of days but should be aware of their potential to infect others.

All cases, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection are recommended to:

-Stay home until 24 hours after fever has resolved without use of antipyretics and other symptoms are improving.

-Avoid contact with high-risk individuals (e.g., congregate care residents, immunocompromised individuals, etc.) for 10 days.
